Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-10-26. By using ripelinks.com or the RipeLinks Chrome extension you agree to these terms.
1. The service
RipeLinks provides free online tools for looking up domains and websites (availability, registration data, archive history, DNS, redirects, robots.txt and registrar prices) and a free Chrome extension that helps you evaluate blog pages, draft comments and keep records of the links you build. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
2. Acceptable use
You may use the tools for your own research and work. You may not:
- use automated scripts, scrapers or bots to query the tools, or work around the rate limits;
- use registration data obtained through the tools for unsolicited email, marketing or harassment, which registry terms also forbid;
- use the website checkers to probe systems you are not allowed to test, or to cause load on someone else's site;
- use the extension to post spam, to post without reading what you submit, or to break the rules of the websites you comment on.
We may block access from addresses that abuse the service.
3. Accuracy of results
Results come from third-party sources such as domain registries, the Internet Archive and DNS resolvers, and from registrars' public price lists. They can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. In particular, a domain shown as available may be reserved, priced as premium, or registered moments later by someone else; only the registrar's checkout can confirm availability and price. Ripeness labels and other verdicts are our opinions based on the data shown, not facts about a domain, its owner or its content. Do not rely on any result as legal, financial or security advice.
4. The Chrome extension
The extension fills forms in your browser at your request and never submits them. You are responsible for every comment you post and for complying with the terms of the sites you use. If you connect an AI provider, you do so under your own account and that provider's terms, and you are responsible for its costs. Keep a backup: data stored in your browser can be lost if you remove the extension or your browser profile.
5. Third-party services and links
The tools link to registrars, the Wayback Machine, trademark databases and other sites we do not control. Their content, prices and terms are their responsibility. A link is not an endorsement. If a registrar pays us a referral commission, the link will be marked; it does not change the price you pay.
6. Intellectual property
The RipeLinks name, logo, site design and written content belong to us. Data returned by the tools belongs to its respective sources and is shown under their terms. The extension includes open-source code under the MIT licence; its notices are included in the extension package.
7. No warranty
The website and the extension are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RipeLinks is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, domains or rankings, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. Questions: hello@ripelinks.com.
